Sim Companies Helper ("the Extension") is a client-side browser extension designed to enhance the gameplay experience of Sim Companies. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy explains our data practices.

We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any user data.

• We do not have a backend server.
• We do not track your browsing history.
• We do not use analytics services (like Google Analytics).
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels.

3. How It Works

The Extension runs entirely locally on your device. It interacts directly with the simcompanies.com displayed in your browser to calculate profits and organize data. Most calculation data is kept in temporary browser memory and is discarded when you close the tab or reload the page. Some user preferences and saved alerts are stored locally in your browser using extension storage so features like price alerts, discounts, and message settings persist across sessions. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

To display a user-friendly "What's New" message after an install or update, the Extension may fetch public release notes from GitHub. No personal data is sent to GitHub beyond standard browser network requests.

4. Permissions

The specific permissions we request in the Chrome Web Store are strictly used to:

• Modify the web page content on https://www.simcompanies.com/* to display helper widgets.

The Extension does not have access to any other websites.

5. Changes to This Policy

If we ever introduce features that require data collection (e.g., optional cloud syncing), we will update this policy and request your explicit consent.
